peaceful fishing village. Explore the beautiful beachfront on one side and enjoy a very private yard with pool on the other side.
These 2 beautiful beachfront houses sit side-by-side on 20 meters of beach in the town of Chelem on the Yucatan coast. The two-story

Canadian standards. No expense was spared on this property; only the best materials and appliances were chosen.

Area Information
Chelem and the neighboring town of Chuburna have many restaurants, mostly specializing in fresh seafood. The locals buy food daily to
prepare, even in their own households, so everything is usually very fresh. Chelem, Chuburna, Progreso, and Merida all have open-air
markets with fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats. Local Pescaderia's sell fresh seafood. This is mainly a cash and barter society, so
there is no burdensome debt. The area was originally settled by Mayans who are friendly and honest. Rarely is a smile not returned.
There is virtually no violent crime. The streets contain as many bicyclists and scooters as cars. The area is very quiet except for
July and August, and Easter when wealthy Meridians come to their beach houses and vacation.
There is also a large expatriate community in this area that socialize and support each other. The following online magazine link
contains a lot of information about this area
http://www.yucatantoday.com
and an expatriate forum for the community
http://www.yolisto.com
that provides lots of useful information about moving and living in the Yucatan.
